Introducing The Venue

Sennowe Park is one of Norfolk’s most romantic and impressive large Edwardian country houses set in sweeping parkland. It was built to a grand design by Thomas Albert Cook, grandson of Thomas Cook, the inventor of modern holiday travel, and is lived in today by his descendants. With thanks to Charlie and Virginia Temple-Richards, Sennowe Park offers a unique and magical venue for the first annual ball for The John Buckman Foundation.

DIRECTIONS - SENNOWE PARK, GUIST, NORFOLK, NR20 5PB

CAUTION: this entrance is only suitable for cars or narrow vans due to a pair of bollards closely set. Drive straight down the main drive and over the cattle grid and through the park. Turn first left after the next cattle grid for the front of the house. The front door is under a porte cochère at the far end. For the back of the house do not take the first left but take the second left and continue round to the left passing pony paddocks on the right and a right hand turn, which you should not take. Pass the stable yard on the left and continue on towards the car port at the end. The entrance to the courtyard which leads to the kitchen door is under the car port. If you are in a coach or lorry from Norwich you should turn left in Guist onto the B1110. After a few hundred yards you will come to a sharp left hand bend. On this bend straight ahead is an unmade up road, marked Sennowe Road. Drive along this and through a white farm gate, just beyond which is the Kennels on the right hand side. Continue through woodland without deviating until you come to a cattle grid. Drive over this and into the park and then follow the instructions as above.
